All of our students are “screenagers” and “media junkies” – this class will share actual lesson plans and workflows to engage your students in proven, meaningful, outcome based activities that will lead to higher CSTs. Learn simple and FREE workflows that allow teachers to use all the media available on the internet to accelerate learning in language arts. We will cover: Teaching literary devices with commercials gathered from YouTube and Google video (Included lesson plans will cover characterization, four types of conflict, irony and foreshadowing). We’ll also cover the tools necessary to gather and store all of these video clips and commercials, as well as web resources and even books (!) that assist in this 21st century style of teaching and learning.
